The Northeastern Conference track all-star teams were announced this week, and the honors continued to pour in for both the Peabody boys and girls track teams after a pair of impressive seasons.
The Peabody boys finished the season with a perfect 10-0 record (5-0 in conference games), winning the NEC championship with 11 all-stars on the team.
Frederick Koffi led the way after being named NEC Player of the Year and being named to the All-Conference team. Joel Lisoma, Antonio Craveiro, Trevor Smith, Jacob Farhat, Logan Tracia, Jordan Iiori and Tyler Surman were also named to the All-Conference team. Dylan Rea, Michael Perez and Cam Rich earned all-star honors.
The Peabody girls finished the year 9-1 (4-1 in conference), but fell short of an NEC North championship to undefeated Beverly.
Jolene Murphy, Lindsey Wilson, Savanna Vargas, Ava D’Ambrosio, Sadai Headley-Mawasi, Dado Nasso, MaKayla Fisher, Paulina Straticos, Emily McDonald, Jordyn Collins, Gianna Nicolo, Sarah Divasta and Arlene Davila all earned All-Conference honors. Aaliyah Alleyne and Kalisha Williams were named all-stars.
Beverly’s India Ingemi was named NEC Player of the Year for the girls, while the Panthers had Annie Towler, Mackenzie Gilligan, Heidi Eberhardt, Olivia Young and Lucy Curtis named to the All-Conference team.
The Marblehead boys were also well represented with Godot Gaskins, Loeden Rodrigues and Peter Clifford all being named to the All-Conference team and Chris Barone and Cole Riskin being named all-stars.
In the South, the Saugus boys won the NEC title. Kenny Okoye, Marvens Jean and Brandon Khath were named all-stars for the Sachems. The Saugus girls won the NEC sportsmanship award and Ava Fiorino and Jenni Costa were named to the all-star team.
The Winthrop girls also won an NEC South title. Mary Kate Pote, Clare Nargi and Isabela Mahoney were named all-stars for the Vikings.
The Classical girls finished the year at 4-5-1 (4-1 in NEC games) and coach Steve Martin earned NEC Coach of the Year honors. Rachel Brennan earned All-Conference honors for the Rams. Slanny Portorreal and Cherish Nwoko (girls) and Oladeji Jolaso and Kyle McCarthy (boys) were named all-stars.
English’s Kendra Malcolm also earned All-Conference honors, while Everton Muir was named an all-star on the boys side for the Bulldogs.
Swampscott earned the NEC sportsmanship award for the boys. Najique Henry and Anton Vasquez earned All-Conference honors for the Big Blue while Jackson Brigham and Charlotte Andrews (girls) were named all-stars.
