High winds during Friday’s stormy weather knocked down trees and utility poles including five on Lowell Street in Peabody Friday afternoon where police detoured west bound traffic on to Forest Street and east bound traffic on to NorthShore Road while utility crews worked on scene. Winds also felled a Lowell Street tree.
