A small number of new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths were reported in several North Shore communities on Tuesday.
Lynn, which has reported virus deaths nearly every day for the past couple of months, did not report an additional fatality on Tuesday.
Following spikes in the past several weekends, Lynn reported just two additional deaths this past weekend.
The number of new cases reported each day has also been on the decline. The city reported just 22 new cases on Tuesday, which is on par with the 20 additional cases that were reported a day earlier, according to city data.
When factoring in those who have recovered and died, Lynn now has 3,075 COVID-19 cases. As of last week, Lynn ranked fourth in the state in terms of municipalities with the highest number of virus cases.
Elsewhere, a handful of new cases were reported in Nahant, Saugus and Revere, and no additional cases were reported in Lynnfield, which updates its figures daily.
Nahant reported an additional case on Tuesday, which brings its caseload to 38. Six residents have died.
In Saugus, 471 residents have been infected and 27 have died. The town reported eight additional cases on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday, Revere has 1,500 cases and 58 deaths. The city reported an additional 18 cases since Monday, but deaths remained the same.
Lynnfield’s numbers stayed the same, at 91 cases and 11 deaths.
At press time, Marblehead, Peabody and Swampscott had not released updated numbers.
As of Monday, Marblehead has 209 cases and 19 deaths, Peabody has 911 cases and 123 deaths, and in Swampscott, 118 residents have been infected and seven have died.
