LYNN — Two separate shootings in the city on Monday night resulted in damage to two homes and a car, police said.
Shots were fired less than half an hour apart on Alley Street and Harwood Street, according to the police log.
There were no injuries in either incident, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
The first incident involved an apparent drive-by shooting at 19 Harwood St shortly before 9 p.m. Kmiec said the home was struck with gunfire and ballistic evidence was recovered at the scene.
“There’s very limited information, but (it’s) believed that the shots did come from a vehicle,” Kmiec said.
About 20 minutes later, police responded to another report of gunshots and found a car parked in the driveway of 112 Alley St. and the home’s garage had been struck with gunfire, Kmiec said.
Police found a couple of shell casings in the area, but have not been able to get further information as “there was not much cooperation from the owner of the vehicle,” Kmiec said.
No arrests have been made and both shootings are under investigation.
