Jil Wonoski, a native of Lynn and the director of marketing & new business development at Advantage Truck Group, has been elected to the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Board of Directors.
Wonoski leads the strategy, planning and development of marketing and branding initiatives for Advantage Truck Group, the largest Daimler Trucks North America dealer network in New England. Her creative campaigns have driven brand awareness while helping to transform the company’s communications strategy and enhance customer engagement. Her more than two decades of experience also include senior marketing and management positions at Polaroid Corporation and serving as executive director of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce.
Wonoski brings expertise in developing community outreach initiatives and partnerships that build brand awareness to her new board position, as well as a commitment to supporting workforce issues in industries supported by the skilled trades. She holds a board position with MassHire Central Region Workforce Board and was invited to be a member of the Central MA Regional Workforce Blueprint Committee to help lead the region’s labor market planning process. She also serves on the board at South High Community School in Worcester, where she worked with a team to establish a state-of-the-art diesel technology classroom that is part of the South High Community School building project. Additionally, her focus on skilled labor issues in the trucking industry led to her developing the first and only state-approved apprenticeship program for diesel technicians.
“It is an honor to be part of the board of directors for SkillsUSA Massachusetts and work alongside such a dedicated group of business and education leaders,” said Wonoski. “I am excited to use my talent for working with diverse teams and developing creative strategies to tackle business challenges to generate new ideas and help implement projects that support the SkillsUSA mission.”
