Additional coronavirus deaths were reported in Revere and Saugus on Thursday, which brings their respective death tolls to 72 and 28.
In Revere, four more residents have died since Tuesday and Saugus has reported an additional death over that same time period.
Despite the continued rise in fatalities, North Shore communities are reporting a low number of new cases each day.
Revere reported an additional 39 cases since Tuesday, while Saugus diagnosed 22 more cases since that time.
Lynn reported 16 new cases on Thursday, to bring its caseload to 3,330. No additional deaths were reported to keep the city’s death toll at 88.
Of those total cases, 1,831 are active and 1,411 residents have recovered from the virus.
Lynn continues to remain fourth in the state in terms of the highest number of cases and fourth in infection rate, according to the state Department of Public Health.
New data released Wednesday from the DPH shows the city is third for highest positive rate, with 31.3 percent of residents testing positive for the virus.
Elsewhere, numbers in Lynnfield (92 cases and 11 deaths) and Nahant (41 cases and six deaths) remained the same on Thursday.
At press time, Marblehead, Peabody and Swampscott had not reported updated numbers.
As of Wednesday, Marblehead has 223 cases and 30 deaths, Peabody has 978 cases and 133 deaths, and in Swampscott, 122 residents have been infected and nine have died.
