LYNN – A peaceful protest against police brutality will take place today (Friday) outside the Lynn Police Station. The demonstration was initially scheduled for Saturday, June 6.
Attendees are asked to gather at 5 p.m. and to wear black and red attire. Face masks are required.
“This is a peaceful protest to open a dialogue with local police about accountability and general policing in our town,” said the event’s Facebook page, which is organized by Chè’s Children in Lynn. “We want a show of solidarity from our local police to r(e)establish the trust disintegrated from the deplorable behavior of the Minneapolis police.”
