New COVID-19 deaths reported in Revere and Saugus, new cases in Lynn, Revere, Saugus

New confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported in Lynn, Revere, and Saugus Friday, with Revere and Saugus both also reporting an additional COVID-19 death.

In Revere, six new cases were reported, bringing its total caseload to 3,485. Another person in Revere has died as well, bring the total number of deaths to 77.

Saugus reported 10 more cases and an additional death since Wednesday, bringing total numbers to 536 cases and 10 deaths.

In Lynn, 3,494 cases were reported, 15 more than the day before and 91 deaths — the number of deaths remained the same since Wednesday.

Lynn continues a months-long trend of low day-to-day increases, with 15 new cases reported the last three days.

In Lynnfield, numbers remained unchanged Friday at 93 cases and 11 deaths, and in Nahant numbers remained at 41 cases and six deaths.

Peabody’s numbers were not updated by press time, at 1,001 cases and 137 deaths as of Wednesday.

Also with most recent numbers updated on Wednesday, Swampscott had 123 cases and eight deaths, and Marblehead had 224 cases and 30 deaths.

In Salem, numbers haven’t been updated since Tuesday, with 606 cases and 27 deaths. According to a statement from the city, of all residents who have been tested for COVID-19 during the pandemic, 17.5 percent have tested positive.
