Small number of new COVID-19 cases in Lynn, Revere, Saugus, Swampscott

New COVID-19 cases in Lynn, Revere, Saugus, and Swampscott were reported Tuesday, but none of the communities in the greater Lynn area reported deaths. 

Lynn reported 11 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,534. However, the number of “active” cases decreased by 38, to 1,440. The number of deaths remained the same at 93. 

Revere reported three new cases, bringing its total number of cases to 3,119, with 1,387 residents having recovered. The number of deaths in Revere remained the same Tuesday, at 78. 

Saugus reported six new cases, bringing its total to 542. The number of deaths in Saugus remained at 31.

Swampscott reported one additional COVID-19 case Tuesday, bringing its total to 127. Deaths remained the same, at 8. 

Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield Tuesday, with 95 cases and 11 deaths, as well as Nahant, with 41 cases and 6 deaths. 

In Marblehead and Peabody, numbers were not updated by press time. Marblehead had 224 cases and 30 deaths as of last Wednesday. Peabody had reported 1,021 cases, with 631 residents having recovered, and 146 deaths on Monday.
