Two more covid deaths in Peabody

Two more deaths were reported in Peabody and a handful of new coronavirus cases were reported in several other North Shore communities on Friday.

With the additional deaths, Peabody’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 153, according to the city’s Health Director Sharon Cameron.

Six more cases were reported in Peabody since Wednesday, which brings the city’s caseload to 1,032 — 637 people have recovered from the virus, according to Cameron.

In Lynn, 10 new cases, but no additional deaths were reported on Friday. The city has 3,556 confirmed cases, 1,205 of which are active, and 95 deaths, according to city data.

Nahant and Revere each reported an additional case on Friday, bringing their respective numbers to 42 cases and six deaths, and 1,749 cases and 78 deaths, according to their municipal websites.

City data shows 1,404 residents have recovered from the virus in Revere.

Lynnfield, with 96 cases and 11 deaths, reported no change in its numbers.

At press time, Marblehead, Saugus and Swampscott had not released updated numbers.

As of Wednesday, Marblehead has 225 cases and 30 deaths, Saugus has 545 cases and 31 deaths, and in Swampscott, 127 residents have been infected and eight have died.
