New COVID-19 deaths in Saugus, and new confirmed cases in Lynn and Revere, were reported Monday.
Saugus’ update showed three additional deaths from the virus since last Wednesday, bringing the total to 34. Confirmed cases in Saugus also rose by nine, to 554.
In Lynn, no new deaths were reported, with the toll remaining at 95. However, 20 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 3,576.
Revere reported 11 new cases Monday, bringing its total caseload to 3,182, with 1,422 having recovered. The number of deaths in Revere remained the same, at 78.
According to the office of Revere Mayor Brian Arrigo, the city’s seven-day average for new cases is now 5.6 per day, down significantly from just over a month ago, when the city was seeing 20 or more new cases confirmed each day.
Lynnfield numbers remained the same Monday, with 96 cases and 11 deaths; the same was true for Nahant, with 42 cases and six deaths.
Numbers in Marblehead, Peabody and Swampscott were not updated by press time. Marblehead reported 225 cases and 30 deaths as of Wednesday, Peabody reported 1,032 cases — with 637 having recovered — and 153 deaths as of Friday, and Swampscott reported 127 cases and eight deaths as of last Wednesday.
Elsewhere, in Salem, the city reported 619 total cases Monday, and of those only 142 are considered active. Salem has seen 30 deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic.
