Peabody COVID-19 death toll at 161

Peabody reported an additional death on Wednesday to bring the city’s death toll to 161. 

New cases were reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere and Saugus.

Lynn reported eight new cases to bring the city’s caseload to 3,646. Ninety-eight people have died and 2,754 people have recovered from the virus — 794 cases remain active, according to city data. 

Lynnfield now has 98 cases and 11 deaths. Two more cases were reported on Wednesday, according to the town website.  

In Peabody, five new cases were reported to bring its total to 1,049 cases — 775 people have recovered from the virus, according to Health Director Sharon Cameron. 

Three more cases were reported in Revere, to bring the city’s numbers to 1,786 cases and 82 deaths — 1,488 people have recovered from the virus, according to the city website.

Numbers in Saugus now stand at 556 cases and 35 deaths after two more cases were reported on Wednesday, according to the state Department of Public Health. 

Case and death counts remained the same in Marblehead (228 cases and 30 deaths) and Swampscott (128 cases and eight deaths).
