Often during a situation like this that we have never encountered before, children are forgotten.
We are lucky we live in the city of Lynn with its public schools which have addressed the need to feed children. For the past nine weeks, I have been picking up grab and go lunches at English High School and delivering them to five families with school-age children. They are so excited when I deliver the lunches.
A special thank you and kudos goes to everyone involved in this program. Special appreciation goes to the four public school food service workers who see me coming every day and cheerfully greet me by name.
