Revere reports additional virus death

Revere reported an additional coronavirus death on Monday to bring the city’s death toll to 88. 

The city also reported nine new cases to bring the total number in Revere to 1,877, while 1,573 people have recovered from the virus, according to the city website. 

Elsewhere, Lynn, Marblehead and Peabody reported new cases, but no additional deaths on Monday. 

Numbers remained the same or were not updated in several other North Shore communities. 

With 10 new cases reported on Monday, Lynn now has 3,745 cases. The city’s death toll remained the same at 104. 

Of the city’s total number of cases, 531 are active and 3,110 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

In Marblehead, there have been two new cases since last Monday, July 6. The town’s caseload is now 239 and 30 people have died, according to town data. 

Peabody reported seven new cases since last Friday. The city now has 1,085 cases, while 165 people have died and 846 have recovered, according to Health Director Sharon Cameron. 

Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (101 cases, 11 deaths) and Nahant (42 cases, six deaths) and have not been updated in Saugus or Swampscott for several days. 

As of last Thursday, Saugus has 557 cases and 36 deaths, and Swampscott has not provided an update since last Wednesday, when 133 cases and eight deaths were reported.
