Lynn shooting suspect added to State Police ‘Most Wanted’ list

July 21, 2020 by Gayla Cawley

LYNN — Ingmar Robles Pojoy, sought in connection with a fatal shooting that was committed in Lynn last year, has been added to the Massachusetts State Police “Most Wanted” list.

Pojoy, 26, has extensive ties to Lynn and a previous address in Peabody, is known to affiliate with street gangs and is actively attempting to evade capture, state police said.

A warrant was issued for his arrest following an investigation into a Feb. 6, 2019 shooting on South Elm Street that left 29-year-old Vannark Chourb dead, state police said.

Pojoy, also known as “I.G.” is facing charges of carrying a loaded firearm weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and committing a firearms violation while having committed a prior crime involving violence or drugs.

Pojoy has a lengthy criminal record and should be considered “armed and dangerous,” state police said.

He is described by authorities as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 120 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Distinguishing features include a small mole on the left side of his face above his lip and multiple tattoos across his body that include a devil’s head, written words, and a bead and cross on his arms, the name “Thelma” among other ink on his chest, a skull on the left side of his torso, and the name “Robles” on his upper back just below the base of his neck, state police said.

Anyone who sees Pojoy or has knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to call the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873) or dial 911.
