Lynn, Peabody report additional virus deaths

Additional virus deaths were reported in Lynn and Peabody on Monday, and new cases were reported in several North Shore communities. 

With two new deaths reported in Lynn Monday, the city’s COVID-19 death toll is now 110. 

Peabody also reported another death, which brings the city’s death toll to 172. 

Lynn also reported three new cases to bring its total number of cases to 3,850. Of that total, 430 cases are active and 3,310 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

In Peabody, five new cases have been reported since last Friday. The city now has 1,112 cases and 859 people have recovered, according to the health department. 

Three new cases, but no additional deaths, have been reported in Marblehead since last Monday, July 20. The town has 246 cases and 30 deaths. 

Nahant reported two new cases to bring the town’s total numbers to 48 cases and six deaths. 

In Revere, four new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 1,962. Ninety-one residents have died and 1,649 have recovered, according to city data. 

Numbers remained unchanged in Lynnfield (104 cases, 11 deaths) on Monday and have not been updated in Saugus (571 cases, 38 deaths)  or Swampscott (138 cases, nine deaths) since last Wednesday.
