SAUGUS — Saugus Superintendent David DeRuosi has announced new student registration for children in kindergarten through grade 5 will be open until August 6.
Registration is by appointment only. Slots can be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at the school administrative offices, located at 23 Main Street. Registration packets are currently available for pickup in the front lobby or are available online at www.Saugus.k12.ma.us.
The following items are required to register a new student at Saugus Public Schools: Proof of residency, a record of recent mortgage payments or tax bills, a copy of the child’s original birth certificate, a valid ID of the parent or guardian, and a recent utility bill, as well as documentation from the student’s most recent physical, immunization records, lead screening, proof of withdrawal from the student’s previous school if applicable, and a copy of the student’s IEP or 504 services if applicable.
Once the registration packet is completed, parents or guardians are asked to email [email protected] or to contact Lisa Manning to set up a 30-minute appointment. Translators are available upon request.
Only completed packets will be accepted. Parents and guardians are asked not to set up an appointment until after they have completed the registration packet and have all necessary paperwork in order.
