Peabody virus death toll hits 175

New coronavirus cases were reported in Lynn, Peabody and Revere on Monday.

And an additional death was reported in Peabody to bring the city’s death toll to 175. 

With nine new cases reported since last Friday, Peabody now has 1,198 cases, but 900 people have recovered from the virus, according to the health department. 

In Lynn, 17 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 4,369. Of that total, 649 cases are active, as 111 people have died and 3,609 have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

Four new cases were reported Monday in Revere to bring the city’s total number of cases to 2,217. Ninety-four people have died and 1,995 have recovered, according to the city website.

Numbers remained unchanged in Lynnfield (111 cases, 11 deaths), Marblehead (255 cases, 30 deaths), and Nahant (50 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Saugus or Swampscott. 

As of last Thursday, Saugus had 616 cases and 39 deaths and Swampscott (146 cases, 10 deaths) has not updated its numbers since last Wednesday.
