LYNN — Lynn firefighters battled a house fire on Washington Street Thursday night, according to the Lynn Fire Department.
Crews were able to knock down a heavy fire at 78 Washington St, a 2½ story wood framed house, at approximately 7 p.m.
The department said in a social media post that the working fire, which was located on the first floor of the residence, drew a response from “all companies” in Lynn.
A fire department spokesman could not provide further information before The Item went to print.
