The Bishop Fenwick girls soccer team remained hot over the weekend, knocking off Catholic Central League foe Bishop Stang by a score of 4-1 Saturday. With the win, the Crusaders have now won five straight games after dropping their season opener.
Ally Mitchell scored two goals in the win for Fenwick, while Elani Gikas and Kiera Morgan each scored one goal.
Fenwick (5-1) hosts rival St. Mary’s Monday afternoon (4) at Donaldson Stadium.
BOYS SOCCER

It came down to the wire for the Crusaders on the road Saturday, and they didn’t disappoint. On an indirect free kick in the 70th minute, Andrew Perry found Ryan Noci for the eventual game-winning goal.
Goalkeeper Liam Foley notched his fourth shutout in the past five games, while Aidan Dwyer, TJ Genzale, and Sean Campbell were impressive in the back line. Ryan Arneil also played well in the victory.
“All in all, this was a good performance for us,” said Fenwick coach Tony Enos. “I’m proud of the guys for how they played after traveling so far.”
Fenwick (5-1) takes on rival St. Mary’s Monday evening (6:30) at Donaldson Stadium.

Connor Hamel played well on the defensive end for St. Mary’s while Kaya Jackson played well in the midfield. Goalkeeper Jacob Guarino had 13 saves in the loss.
“The score really wasn’t an indication of how well we played,” said St. Mary’s coach Mike D’Agostino. “We did a lot of good things out there, now we just have to move on from this game and try to right the ship as we move into next week.”

The Crusaders picked up a pair of conference wins over the weekend behind strong performances from a number of players. Cade Buckley led the way in both matches, scoring 32 points in Saturday’s win over Austin Prep and then an outstanding 36 points in Sunday’s win over Arlington Catholic.
Fenwick (9-2) takes on rival St. Mary’s on the road at Tedesco Country Club Monday (3).

Pejae Parent and Yirsy Queliz each scored one goal as the Spartans earned a season split with Central Catholic Saturday.
