Lynn and Revere reported a significant spike in coronavirus cases on Wednesday and two more deaths were reported in Peabody.
In Lynn, 53 new cases were reported for the second straight day, which brings the city’s caseload to 5,880.
Of that total, 630 cases remain active, 123 people have died, and 5,127 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Revere reported 46 new cases on Wednesday to bring the city’s total numbers to 3,462 cases and 109 deaths, according to the city website.
Eighteen new cases and two additional deaths have been reported in Peabody since Monday. The city now has 1,544 cases and 192 people have died, according to the health department.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (183 cases, 14 deaths) and Nahant (67 cases, six deaths), and were not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott on Wednesday.
As of Tuesday, Saugus had 904 cases and 44 deaths. Swampscott had 193 cases and 11 deaths as of Monday, and Marblehead (299 cases, 30 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Thursday.
