The coronavirus surge continued in Lynn on Thursday, with the city reporting 63 new cases in a 24-hour period.
Two hundred coronavirus cases have already been reported this week, which includes more than 50 cases reported on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The city reported 53 new cases on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Thirty-one new cases were reported on Monday.
Lynn now has 5,943 cases, 659 of which are active. The city’s death toll is 123 and 5,161 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
In Revere, 33 new cases were reported on Thursday to bring the city’s total numbers to 3,495 cases and 109 deaths, according to the city website.
Seven new cases were reported in Lynnfield to bring the town’s caseload to 190. Fourteen people have died, according to the town website.
Nahant now has 68 cases and six deaths after reporting an additional case on Thursday, according to the town website.
Numbers were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott on Thursday.
Peabody had 1,544 cases and 192 deaths as of Wednesday, Saugus had 904 cases and 44 deaths as of Tuesday, Swampscott had 193 cases and 11 deaths as of Monday, and Marblehead (299 cases, 30 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since Thursday of last week.
