The Peabody girls soccer team closed out its 2020 season on a high note Wednesday evening, going on the road to take down Northeastern Conference foe Marblehead, 3-0, at Piper Field.
Aja Alimonti — who was named an EMass First-Team All-Star Wednesday — had one goal in the victory for Peabody, with McKayla Fischer and Emily McDonough adding the other goals. Maddy Scacchi, Hailee Lomasney and Jordyn Collins played well defensively, while goalkeeper Emma Bloom had six saves in the shutout victory.
“We were very happy that we were able to get together and play this season,” said Peabody coach Dennis Desroches. “Under difficult circumstances, we were able to come together, play a solid season and remain safe and healthy while doing so.”
