New virus cases reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere

Lynn, Lynnfield and Revere reported a double-digit increase in new coronavirus cases on Thursday. 

Lynn also reported an additional death to bring the city’s death toll to 129. 

Forty new cases were reported in Lynn to bring the city’s caseload to 6,881. A total of 1,079 cases are active and 5,673 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

In Revere, 39 new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 3,994 cases and 111 deaths, according to the city website. 

Lynnfield reported 12 new cases to bring the city’s total number of cases to 243. Fourteen people have died, according to the town website. 

An additional case was also reported in Nahant. The town now has 87 cases and six people have died, according to the town website. 

Numbers were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott on Thursday. 

Peabody had 1,890 cases and 196 deaths as Wednesday, Swampscott had 221 cases and 11 deaths as of Monday, and numbers have not been updated in Marblehead (328 cases, 30 deaths) or Saugus (1,042 cases, 45 deaths) since last Friday.
