Lynn reported 64 additional coronavirus cases Monday, while new cases were also reported in Lynnfield and Revere.
Lynn’s 64 new COVID cases is a significant decline from a peak of 196 new cases on Dec. 9 — a possible indication that the post-Thanksgiving COVID-19 surge may be slowing down.
Lynn now has had 10,286 total cases, 150 deaths, 1,715 active cases, and 8,421 people who have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Testing is available at the Lynn Community Health Center, at the Parking lot at Lynn English High School, and at the Parking Lot behind Fire Station at 725 Western Avenue, off of Federal Street.
Additionally, a new testing site at the Blossom Street Extension parking lot, commonly known as the Lynn Ferry Terminal, is set to open Dec. 23.
Lynnfield reported 12 additional cases to bring its number of active cases to 237, with 582 total cases, 328 recovered patients and 17 deaths according to the town website.
Revere reported 60 new cases, which brings the city’s totals to 6,180 cases and 120 deaths, according to the city website.
In Peabody, there have been 3,551 cumulative cases and 221 deaths. A total of 1,537 people have recovered, according to the health department.
Marblehead moved their testing site Monday to Marblehead High School at 2 Humphrey St., from the old location at 393 Atlantic Ave. to better accommodate traffic.
As of last Tuesday, Saugus had 1,847 cases and 46 deaths; Swampscott had 409 cases and 11 deaths as of last Monday; and Marblehead (503 cases, 31 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Friday.
