Lynn reported an additional 89 cases of COVID-19 Tuesday — up 25 cases from the day before — bringing the city’s total to 1,642 active, confirmed positive cases. Lynn’s death toll remains at 151.
The total number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Lynn since March 21, including those who have died and recovered, is 10,375.
Testing for Lynn residents is available at the Lynn Community Health Center, at the parking lot of Lynn English High School, and the parking lot behind the fire station at 725 Western Avenue. A new testing site at the Blossom Street Extension parking lot, also known as the Lynn Ferry Terminal, is set to open Dec. 23.
In Swampscott, there have been a total of 494 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 11 deaths as of Tuesday.
Drive-through testing in Swampscott has been relocated from First Church on Monument Avenue to the Field House at Phillips Park, located at 585 Humphrey St.
Other municipalities had not updated their numbers on their websites since 5 p.m. Tuesday.
As of Tuesday, Lynnfield reported 12 additional cases, bringing its total case count to 582 and 17 deaths. Peabody reported 3,551 total cases and 221 deaths, Revere 6,180 cases and 120 deaths, and Nahant 120 cases and six deaths.
Saugus reported 1,847 cases and 46 deaths a week ago Tuesday. As of last Friday, Marblehead had reported 558 cases and 31 deaths.
Gov. Charlie Baker announced a temporary Executive Order Tuesday evening, that reduces allowable occupancy from current capacity levels of 40 percent to 25 percent in multiple sectors across the state.
The order will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and will continue until Sunday, Jan. 10, with a possibility of a week-long extension based upon available data.
