After holding a small lead at the end of the first quarter, the Crusaders were able to extend their lead to as many as 25 points before coasting to the victory.
Junior guard Jason Romans, a team captain, had a massive game to lead the way for Fenwick, notching a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Junior guard Mike Yentin was the team’s top scorer with 23 points and seven rebounds, while senior captain Max Grenert added 13 points.
The was back-and-forth to start, with each team making small runs in the opening minutes. Yentin and Romans led the attack for the Crusaders, with Romans scoring eight points in the opening frame and Yentin notching five points. After Romans knocked down a deep contested 3-pointer at the buzzer, Fenwick held a 18-13 lead after one quarter.
