New virus cases, deaths reported across North Shore

New coronavirus cases and additional deaths were reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Saugus and Revere on Monday. 

Marblehead, Nahant, and Swampscott also reported an increase in virus cases over the weekend. 

In Lynn, 73 new cases and four additional deaths were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 11,706 and its death toll to 161. A total of 1,912 cases are active and 9,633 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

Peabody has reported 271 new cases and three additional deaths since last Thursday, which brings the city’s total numbers to 4,321 cases and  233 deaths, according to the health department. 

Thirty-five new cases and an additional death were reported in Revere on Monday. The city now has 7,104 cases and 122 people have died, according to the city website. 

In Saugus, 123 new cases and three additional deaths have been reported since last Thursday to bring the town’s total numbers to 2,441 cases and 51 deaths, according to the town website.

Lynnfield has reported 21 new cases and an additional death since last Thursday, which brings the town’s caseload to 713 and its death toll to 20, according to the town website. 

Since last Thursday, 37 new cases have been reported in Marblehead (735 cases, 31 deaths), 17 new cases have been reported in Nahant (150 cases, six deaths), and 47 new cases have been reported in Swampscott (645 cases, 11 deaths), according to town data from each community. 

And as of Monday, Salem has reported 2,824 cases and 59 deaths, according to the city website.
