PEABODY — An 18-year-old woman was transported by ambulance Wednesday afternoon to Massachusetts General Hospital after what a Peabody Police Department spokesman described as a collision between a motor vehicle she was driving and a box truck on Lynnfield Street.
Police Capt. Dennis Bonaiuto described the Peabody woman as “conscious and alert” at the accident scene and said the woman “had to be extricated” from the vehicle. The accident, according to initial reports, occurred in the vicinity of 298 Lynnfield St.
