New virus cases, additional deaths reported in Lynn, Revere, Swampscott

Lynn and Revere reported triple-digit increases in coronavirus cases and additional deaths on Thursday. 

New cases were also reported in Lynnfield, Saugus and Swampscott. 

In Lynn, 150 new cases and two additional deaths were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 12,228 and its death toll to 165, according to city data.  

A total of 2,029 cases remain active and 10,034 people have recovered from the virus in Lynn, according to city data. 

Revere reported 110 new cases and three additional deaths to bring the city’s total numbers to 7,402 cases and 127 deaths, according to the city website. 

In Saugus, 136 new cases have been reported since Monday, which brings the town’s caseload to 2,577. Fifty-one people have died, according to the town website. 

With 37 new cases and two additional deaths reported since Monday, Swampscott now has 682 cases and 13 deaths, according to the town website. 

Lynnfield reported 12 new cases to bring the town’s caseload to 739. Twenty people have died from the virus, according to the town website. 

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (156 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead or Peabody. 

Peabody reported 4,484 cases and 236 deaths as of Wednesday, and Marblehead (735 cases, 31 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since Monday.
