Coronavirus cases continue to climb in Lynn and Revere, which each reported an additional spike on Tuesday,
Lynn and Revere each also reported an additional virus death to bring their respective death tolls to 171 and 133.
In Lynn, 87 new cases were reported on Tuesday to bring the city’s total number of cases to 13,634. Of that total, 2,122 cases are active and 11,341 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Revere reported 64 new cases to bring the city’s caseload to 8,354, according to the city website.
Lynnfield, Nahant, Saugus, and Swampscott also reported new cases on Tuesday.
In Saugus, 187 new cases and four additional deaths have been reported since last Thursday to bring the town’s total numbers to 2,995 cases and 57 deaths, according to the town website.
Forty-four new cases have been reported in Swampscott since last Thursday to bring the town’s caseload to 800. Thirteen people have died, says the town website.
Lynnfield has reported 24 new cases since last Friday, which brings the town’s total numbers to 795 cases and 24 deaths, reported the town website.
In Nahant, seven new cases have been reported since last Friday to bring the town’s caseload to 184. Six people have died, according to the town website.
Numbers were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody or Salem on Tuesday. As of Saturday, Salem had 3,385 cases and 64 deaths, and numbers have not been updated in Marblehead (863 cases, 31 deaths) or Peabody (5,108 cases, 253 deaths) since last Friday.
