New coronavirus cases were reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere, and Salem on Wednesday.

In Lynn, 39 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 13,673. Of that total, 2,119 cases are active, 171 people have died, and 11,383 have recovered from the virus.

Wednesday marked one of the only modest case increases seen in Lynn since before the post-Thanksgiving surge, which was exacerbated by another surge seen after the December holidays.

Revere reported 42 new cases to bring the city’s total numbers to 8,396 cases and 133 deaths, according to the city website.

In Salem, 54 new cases were reported, which brings the city’s caseload to 3,439. Sixty-four people have died, the city website reported.

And seven new cases were reported in Lynnfield, which now has 802 cases and 24 deaths, the town website said.

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (184 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott on Wednesday.

As of Tuesday, Saugus had 2,995 cases and 57 deaths, and Swampscott had reported 800 cases and 13 deaths. Numbers have not been updated in Marblehead (863 cases, 31 deaths) or Peabody (5,108 cases, 253 deaths) since last Friday.
