January 28, 2021 by tjourgensen

Police blamed slick road conditions for a 5:50 a.m. Thursday accident that sent a car into an apartment building at 74 Ocean St.

Initial reports were no one was injured in the accident that occurred when the driver reportedly attempted to negotiate the slight turn where Lewis and Ocean streets meet two blocks before Eastern Avenue. The car skidded across Ocean Street, missed hitting a parked vehicle, and struck the apartment building across from Christopher’s Cafe.

The building sustained exterior damage severe enough to allow a glimpse into the ground-floor apartment. A Harbor Management maintenance crew was on scene by 8 a.m.
