New virus cases, but no deaths reported across North Shore

New coronavirus cases, but no additional deaths were reported Monday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere or Salem.

Numbers remained unchanged or were not updated in several other North Shore communities. 

In Lynn, 34 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 14,572. Of that total, 1,820 cases are active, 178 people have died, and 12,574 have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

Peabody has reported 59 new cases since last Friday to bring the city’s caseload to 5,664. The city’s death toll is 269 and 4,609 people have recovered, the health department reported. 

In Salem, 80 new cases have been reported since last Thursday, which brings the city’s total numbers to 3,752 cases and 65 deaths, according to the city website. 

Thirty new cases were reported in Revere, which now has 8,905 cases, and 141 people have died, the city website said. 

Lynnfield has reported 17 new cases since last Friday to bring the town’s caseload to 918. Twenty-seven residents have died, according to the town website. 

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (211 cases, six deaths) and were not updated Monday in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott. Marblehead had 1,000 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday, while Saugus had 3,213 cases and 60 deaths and Swampscott had 840 cases and 16 deaths as of last Thursday.
