The Saugus boys hockey team sent its seniors off on a high note Saturday, notching a 6-3 win over Northeastern Conference foe Swampscott on its Senior Night at Kasabuski Arena.
Prior to the game, the Sachems honored their group of three seniors — Nick DiVola, Andrew Cipriano and Devon Burke — for their contributions to the program.
Massey Ventre led the way for Saugus in the win with two goals, while Chris Regnetta, Ryan Ragucci (his first career varsity goal), Kevin McMaster and Mike Capone each scored one goal. DiVola made 25 saves to earn the win in net.
Saugus (3-3-1) hosts Marblehead Wednesday evening (6:30) back at Kasabuski.
For the Big Blue, Will Roddy scored his first two career varsity goals in the loss. Zack Pierce added one goal, while Ian Roddie had 24 saves in net.
Swampscott (0-8-1) is right back in action Monday night (7) with a road game against Marblehead.

Austin Prep 4, Bishop Fenwick 1
Mike Faragi scored his first career varsity goal in the loss for the Crusaders.

Marblehead 5, Beverly 2
The Magicians celebrated their Senior Day in style Sunday afternoon, but all of the scoring came from the underclassmen. Aidan Ryan and Connor Jalbert each scored two goals in the victory, while Carter Laramie scored one goal.
Prior to the game, the Magicians honored their group of four seniors — Will Shull, JT Monahan, Ian Cody and Charlie Titus — for their contributions to the program.
Marblehead (5-2-0) is right back in action Monday night (7) with a home game against Swampscott.
Winthrop 3, Danvers 1
Joey Holgersen had two goals and one assist to pace the offense for the Vikings on Senior Day, while Chris Ferrara scored one goal.
Prior to the game, the Vikings honored their group of six seniors — Holgersen, Ferrara, Charlie Lane, Matt Hurley, Connor Hurley and Evan Smotrich — for their contributions to the program.
Winthrop (6-2-1) hosts Winthrop Thursday afternoon (3).
GIRLS HOCKEY
St. Mary’s 7, King Phillip 1
Maggie Pierce and Jenna Chaplain both had huge games for the Spartans, notching three goals and two assists each. Aria Kader scored one goal, while Samantha Porazinski had four assists. Kasey Litwin, Makayla McGrath and Felicia D’Alessandro each had one assist, while Angelina Catino (11 saves) and Gianna Tringale (six saves) combined to earn the win in net.
St. Mary’s (10-2-2) hosts rival Bishop Fenwick Wednesday night (7).
Winthrop 9, Gloucester 1
Emma Holmes and Hannah Parker both led the way with two goals and one assist each for the Vikings. Mia Martucci had one goal and three assists, while Julia Holmes and Mia Norris each added one goal and two assists. Sami DiMento had one goal and one assist, Talia Martucci scored one goal and Lily Tallent and Jenna Lindinger each had one assist.
Winthrop (6-1-0) hosts Marblehead Monday evening (6).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Bishop Fenwick 56, Salem Academy 37
Max Grenert led the Crusaders with 16 points in the win, while Jason Romans filled the stat sheet with 10 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Nick Bowers added five points and five assists.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Dexter Southfield 51, Bishop Fenwick 45
Junior Olivia Found paced the offense with 20 points, five assists and seven steals, while senior captain Liz Gonzalez had six points, eight rebounds and five steals.
