Five more Peabody residents have died from the coronavirus since last Friday, which brings the city’s death toll to 283.
Sixty-nine new cases have also been reported over that same time period in Peabody, which brings the city’s caseload to 5,818. Of that total, 4,960 people have recovered from the virus, according to the health department.
New cases were also reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere, Salem and Swampscott on Monday.
In Lynn, 21 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 14,954. Of that total, 1,552 cases are active, 182 people have died and 13,220 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Revere reported 17 new cases to bring the city’s total numbers to 9,166 cases and 141 deaths, the city website reported.
In Salem, 78 new cases and an additional death have been reported since last Friday. The city now has 3,857 cases and 68 people have died, according to the city website.
Lynnfield has reported 11 new cases and an additional death since last Friday, which brings the town’s total numbers to 945 cases and 28 deaths, the town website said.
Sixteen new cases have been reported in Swampscott since last Thursday to bring the town’s total number of cases to 888. Sixteen people have died, the town website reported.
Numbers remained the same in Nahant (213 cases, six deaths) and were not updated Monday in Marblehead or Saugus. As of last Friday, Marblehead had 1,070 cases and 31 deaths, and Saugus (3,280 cases, 61 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Thursday.
