Lynn reports new virus cases, additional death

Another Lynn resident has died from the coronavirus, which brings the city’s death toll to 183. 

Lynn also reported 31 new cases on Tuesday to bring the city’s caseload to 14,985. Of that total, 1,410 cases are active and 13,392 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

In Revere, 13 new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 9,179 cases and 141 deaths, the city website reported.

New cases were also reported in Lynnfield, Nahant and Salem on Tuesday. Lynnfield (946 cases, 28 deaths) reported one new case, Nahant (215 cases, six deaths) reported two more cases, and Salem (3,861 cases, 68 deaths) reported another four cases, according to their respective town websites. 

Numbers were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott. As of Monday, Peabody had 5,818 cases and 283 deaths and Swampscott had 888 cases and 16 deaths. Marblehead had 1,070 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday, and Saugus (3,280 cases, 61 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Thursday.
