Lynn reports new virus cases, three additional deaths

Three more Lynn residents have died from the coronavirus, which brings the city’s death toll to 187. 

The city also reported 37 new cases on Thursday to bring its caseload to 15,083. A total of 1,140 cases are active in Lynn and 13,756 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

New virus cases were also reported in Revere, Salem, Saugus, and Swampscott. 

In Revere, 34 new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 9,242 cases and 141 deaths, according to the city website. 

Saugus has reported 102 new cases and two additional deaths since last Thursday. The town now has 3,382 cases and 63 deaths, the town website reported. 

Thirteen new cases and an additional death were reported in Salem to bring the city’s total numbers to 3,885 cases and 69 deaths, the city reported.

In Swampscott, five new cases have been reported since Monday. The town now has 893 cases and 16 people have died, according to the town website. 

Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (950 cases, 28 deaths) and Nahant (215 cases, six deaths), and were not updated in Marblehead and Peabody on Thursday. 

As of Wednesday, Peabody had 5,847 cases and 283 deaths and Marblehead (1,070 cases, 31 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Friday.
