New virus cases, deaths reported in Lynn and Salem

Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere, Salem, and Swampscott all reported additional coronavirus cases on Tuesday. 

Additional virus deaths were also reported in Lynn and Salem. 

In Lynn, 20 new cases and an additional death were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 15,243 cases and 188 deaths. A total of 825 cases are active in Lynn and 14,230 residents have recovered from the virus, the city reported. 

Salem has reported 53 new cases and three additional deaths since last Friday, which brings the city’s caseload to 3,950 and its death toll to 72, according to the city website. 

Fourteen new cases have been reported in Lynnfield since last Friday, which now has 971 cases and 28 deaths, the town website reported. 

In Revere, 11 new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 9,337 cases and 146 deaths. 

Swampscott has reported 20 new cases since last Thursday. The town now has 913 cases and 16 people have died, according to its website. 

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (220 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody or Saugus on Tuesday. 

As of last Friday, Marblehead had 1,110 cases and 31 deaths, Peabody had 5,905 cases and 283 deaths, and Saugus (3,382 cases, 63 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Thursday.
