Lynn reports new virus cases, additional death

Lynn reported an additional coronavirus death and new cases were also seen in Lynnfield, Revere, and Salem on Thursday. 

Numbers remained the same or were not updated in other North Shore communities. 

In Lynn, 43 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 15,313. Of that total, 569 cases are active, 192 people have died, and 14,552 have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

Revere reported 33 new cases to bring its total numbers to 9,390 cases and 146 deaths, the city website reported.

Fourteen new cases were reported in Salem, which now has 3,976 cases and 72 deaths, the city reported. 

Lynnfield reported three new cases to bring the town’s caseload to 979. Twenty-nine people have died, according to the town website. 

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (220 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott on Thursday. 

Peabody had 6,012 cases and 285 deaths as of Wednesday, Swampscott had 913 cases and 16 deaths as of Tuesday, Marblehead had 1,110 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday, and Saugus (3,382 cases, 63 deaths) has not updated its numbers since last Thursday.
