New virus cases reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere, and Salem

Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere and Salem reported new coronavirus cases on Wednesday. 

Peabody also reported an additional death, which brings the city’s death toll to 299. 

Twenty-four new cases have been reported in Peabody since Monday, which brings its caseload to 6,330. Of that total, 5,685 people have recovered from the virus, according to the health department. 

In Lynn, 29 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 15,771. Of that total, 243 cases are active, 198 people have died, and 15,330 have recovered, according to city data. 

Revere reported 21 new cases to bring the city’s total numbers to 9,759 cases and 157 deaths, the city website reported. 

In Salem, 31 new cases have been reported since Monday to bring the city’s total number of cases to 4,170. Seventy-five people have died, the city website said. 

An additional case was reported in Lynnfield, which now has 1,060 cases and 29 deaths, according to the town website. 

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (223 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott. 

As of last Friday, Marblehead had 1,172 cases and 31 deaths. Saugus had 3,571 cases, and 65 deaths and Swampscott had 949 cases and 19 deaths as of last Thursday.
