SALEM — Two people were stabbed on Lafayette Street Thursday night, according to reports from Northeast Massachusetts Fire/EMS.
Residents of the building, 116 Lafayette St., watched from their windows, as Salem Police established a crime scene at around 7:40 p.m., with caution tape stretching from the entrance to the Lafayette Hotel around the corner of Los Amigos Supermarket.
Bloodstained paper towels lay on the sidewalk in front of the building. Multiple EMS units were present at the scene.
Northeast Massachusetts Fire/EMS reported that one individual had multiple stab wounds to the chest while the other had been wounded in the hand.
The condition of the victims remains unclear.
