The spirit of reconciliation

our-opinion

March 12, 2021 by our-opinion

To the editor:

We are in the season of Lent and I truly believe the royal family missed a great opportunity to embrace Meghan and baby Archie. We are all God’s children and for them not to tend to her mental health needs is very dangerous.

Prince Harry and Meghan had to leave. I feel that no matter a person’s status, the white race needs to be educated and repent of their attitudes on race. People of color have endured so much for too long.

May God help us all to love one another and recognize white privilege and make amends to the people we have hurt.

Prince Harry had to stand by his wife and child and to deprive him of protection (security) is very unfair — along with his wife and child. The color of the baby’s skin should not matter. The world is watching and what they are seeing isn’t good behavior.

Prince Harry and Meghan are a young couple; they did nothing wrong. They needed support, protection, understanding and help (mental health) which they did not get.

The Bible clearly states, “When you marry, leave father and mother and cling to your wife.” Restore them protection and recognize your grandchildren. Be kind, be supportive. Reconcile. Thanks for listening.
