New virus cases reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere, and Swampscott

New coronavirus cases were reported Thursday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere and Swampscott. 

Numbers remained unchanged in several other North Shore communities. 

In Lynn, 38 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 16,024. Of that total, 306 cases are active, 199 people have died, and 15,519 have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

Twenty-two new cases were reported in Revere, which now has 9,901 cases and 159 deaths, the city website reported. 

Swampscott has reported 29 new cases since last Thursday to bring the town’s total numbers to 994 cases and 19 deaths, according to the town website. 

Three new cases were reported in Lynnfield, which now has 1,079 cases and 29 deaths, the town reported. 

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (232 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Salem or Saugus. 

As of Wednesday, Peabody had 5,783 cases and 302 deaths and Salem had 4,219 cases and 77 deaths. Numbers have not been updated in Marblehead (1,195 cases, 31 deaths) or Saugus (3,626 cases, 66 deaths) since last Friday and Thursday respectively.
