The Marblehead volleyball team fought hard for its entire match Thursday evening, but in the end the Magicians just didn’t have enough firepower in a loss to Northeastern Conference foe Masconomet. Marblehead fell by set scores of 19-25, 20-25, 22-25.
Kiera Sweetnam had eight kills in the loss, while Lilah Thompson had seven kills. Julia Potvin had 14 assists, Samantha Oberlander had nine assists and Abby Schwartz had 13 digs.

Mystic Valley 3, Tech 0
The Tigers lost by set scores of 18-25, 17-25, 16-25.
Derlande Montas had a solid game with four kills and two aces, while Lesnee Izaguirre added three kills. Dairin Collazo had five digs in the loss.
Tech (2-2) travels to Nashoba Tuesday afternoon (4).
Innovation 3, KIPP 2
Senior Serena Porte, senior Nena King, senior Chelsea De La Rosa, junior Tatiana Megie-Maddrey, junior Taisha Melo Garcia and sophomore Jaynie Maestre all played well in the loss, while juniors Juliana and Katarina Pinto contributed off the bench.
KIPP (0-4) hosts Notre Dame Tuesday evening (5).
