A vote for Charville

our-opinion

March 22, 2021 by our-opinion

To the editor:

I am pleased to join the chorus of public supporters of Brian Charville in his campaign for Lynnfield School Committee. Brian is a steady, smart, proactive leader for our town through his service as chair of the Planning Board, and I know he will make significant contributions to the School Committee and to our schools’ strategic planning.

I have watched Brian lead the Planning Board and he ceaselessly thinks of ways to improve policies, processes and outcomes. He doesn’t just push policies for policy’s sake; he truly sticks with them and follows up on whether and how they’re working.

He is willing to go back to the drawing board when changes need to be made. The Planning Board has become a leader in transparency and openness under Brian’s leadership. He also expects a lot from administrators and staff, encourages them to do their very best, and is always thinking about how even good processes can be improved upon for the future.

I know that on the School Committee, Brian will continue to be a leader in setting policy, serving constituents, and supporting the school superintendent and her leadership team.

Brian comes into this election very much like I did: He brings to us a desire to serve the town that has served him and his family so well. He comes to us with no personal agendas. He comes to us most importantly wanting a better Lynnfield.

Please join me and my family in voting for Brian Charville for School Committee on April 13.
