The Winthrop football team was able to check one goal off of its list Friday night, battling back and forth with Gloucester to pull out a 27-20 win on the road at Newell Stadium. With the win, the Vikings remain undefeated and clinch the Northeastern Conference South Division title.
Dillon Doherty rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another in the victory, while Chris Ferrara rushed for one touchdown and Ryan Hovermale had one touchdown reception.
The Vikings were forced to hold on after taking a 21-7 lead into halftime, with Gloucester battling back to make it 27-20 with three minutes to play in the third. The Vikings’ defense stood tall from there, and in the end it was the defense that held Gloucester back to seal the victory.

St. Mary’s 28, Bishop Feehan 14
The Spartans pulled off a convincing win on their Homecoming night at Manning Field.
Ali Barry threw for one touchdown and rushed for another, while David Brown Jr. and Derick Coulanges each rushed for one touchdown. Sal Afflitto had one touchdown reception in the win.

Bishop Fenwick 45, Archbishop Williams 3
Tucker Destino rushed for two touchdowns in the victory, while Chrys Wilson threw two touchdowns, while Stefano Fabiano and Jake Connolly each caught one touchdown. Michael Hatch and Jacob Vargus each rushed for one touchdown, while Aidan Dwyer made a 26-yard field goal.
Fenwick (4-0) hosts Cardinal Spellman Friday night (7).
Marblehead 40, Danvers 0
It was another big day for Connor Cronin, who caught one touchdown and also added an interception that he returned for a touchdown. Quarterback Josh Robertson also rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another, while George Percy rushed for one touchdown and James Doody caught one touchdown.

Corey Grimes threw two touchdown passes in the loss for the Witches, while Jariel Del Valle and Luis Paulino each caught one touchdown.

The Tigers fell by set scores of 18-25, 21-25, 17-25.
Derlande Montas had 10 kills in the loss, while Jasinairy Camilo had seven assists and six aces. Nadesha Martinez added six aces and one kill.

The Tigers played a great offensive game led by three goals each from seniors Bibek Gurung and Brian Barrera. Manish Pulami, Geovano Solis and Frismant Macario all added one goal in the win.
