The Lynn Tech volleyball team went toe-to-toe with an undefeated Fellowship Academy squad Thursday afternoon, but the Tigers just didn’t have enough firepower to get over the hump in a 3-1 loss in their season finale.
“It was another really good game for us and I’m so proud of the effort our girls showed out there,” said Tech coach Kaitlyn Wechsler. “Fellowship was one of the best teams we played all year, so for us to battle with them like that was great to see.”
Derlande Montas had a strong game with six kills, one ace and one block, while Jasinairy Camilo added seven assists and four aces. Kaylee Baltodano had four aces, four digs and one kill in the loss.
Tech finishes up its shortened 2021 spring season with a 6-6 record.
“It was definitely a fun season and we’re so grateful that we were able to get out there and play, because we know that everyone wasn’t as lucky,” said Wechsler. “I’m happy for the girls that they got to compete this season, and I’m glad we were able to get all of our games in.”
