New virus cases reported across North Shore

New coronavirus cases were reported Friday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere, and Salem. 

In Lynn, 41 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 17,066. Of that total, 405 cases are active, 212 people have died, and 16,449 have recovered from the virus, according to city data. 

Forty-six new cases have been reported in Peabody since Wednesday to bring the city’s total number of cases to 6,985. The city’s death toll is 314 and 6,193 people have recovered, the health department said. 

In Salem, 23 new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 4,547 cases and 80 deaths, according to the city website. 

Ten new cases were reported in Revere, which now has 10,546 cases and 161 deaths, the city website said. 

Marblehead has reported 27 new cases over the past week to bring the town’s total numbers to 1,295 cases and 31 deaths, according to town data. 

Lynnfield (1,172 cases, 29 deaths) reported six new cases, Nahant (246 cases, eight deaths) reported no change, and numbers were not updated in Saugus or Swampscott. 

As of Tuesday, Saugus had 4,016 cases and 71 deaths, and numbers have not been updated in Swampscott (1,097 cases, 19 deaths) since April 8.
