Lynn reports two more virus deaths

Two more deaths have been reported in Lynn since last Friday to bring the city’s death toll to 216. 

Lynn also reported six new cases on Monday. The city now has 17,429 cases, 203 of which are active, and 17,010 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

New cases were also reported Monday in Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere, Salem, and Swampscott. 

In Salem, 19 new cases have been reported since last Friday to bring the city’s total numbers to 4,668 cases and 80 deaths, the city website said. 

Seventeen new cases were reported in Peabody, which now has 7,166 cases and 317 deaths. Of the city’s caseload, 6,522 people have recovered, the health department reported. 

In Swampscott, 25 new cases have been reported since April 20 to bring the town’s numbers to 1,151 cases and 19 deaths, the town website said.

Six new cases apiece were reported in Lynnfield (1,198 cases, 29 deaths) and Revere (10,776 cases, 163 deaths), no change was reported in Nahant (250 cases, eight deaths), and numbers were not updated in Marblehead and Saugus. 

Marblehead had 1,318 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday, and Saugus had 4,129 cases and 72 deaths as of last Thursday.
